OM Ships Florence STEP

During this 2-3 month program participants will:

• Serve in our Ministry Center sorting & packing books. Other service opportunities are available on an individual basis depending on the person’s expertise.
• Participate in the OM Ships Florence team life and interact with our international OM missionary staff
• Experience the American culture and have the opportunity to visit one or two nearby cities (Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Charlotte)
• The missions and mobilization awareness weekly class provide provides fundamental knowledge that will help the participant to better understand missions and to engage better with different cultures.
• Improve their English (if appropriate)
• Visit local churches and/or participate in a local church

DOULOS HOPE Short Term Programme 8 May - 7 July 2023

Doulos Hope will be launched into ministry at the end of April 2023. For this we need to see people starting to join Doulos Hope from February 2023 onwards. People with a posture and attitude to do anything, anytime, anywhere. We expect that the first months up to a year will very much be a journey of discovery as the life and culture on board, the ministry and how that is shaped but also the manning on board will evolve. It will very much be an emergent process which you can be part of, as in collaboration we help shape and influence the way forward.

OM Ships Florence STEP (JUNE)

Hope of Israel Summer 2023 (2 Week Option)

You will be challenged to draw closer to God as you trust Him to show you how to share your faith with the various people groups that inhabit the Land of Israel. This includes Jewish people (the whole spectrum from secular to traditional to ultra-orthodox), Arabic-speaking peoples (both Muslims and nominal Christians), and others, among them visitors to Israel from all over the world. Emphasis is on team building and a variety of outreach activities as a group. You will work in conjunction with our OM Israel short and long-term staff.

After the conference, you will travel with your teammates to outreach country. You will involve in local mission based on educational program. We are warmly welcome those who have passion for making difference in people’s lives by using your gifts and talents.

Team will experience ministry in big city and least reach area of Thailand. You are going to take part in local ministry with homeless people in partnership with local church. while in the rural area sport, music and art will be way to connect and minister to local teens in the village. Participant will be exposed to local beliefs and culture both in Big city and rural area.

The area you will go is not a tourist area. It is an university area where you will meet a lot students during the time of your stay. We also work with a local primary school which gives us opportunity to organize activities with the kids. Please be noted that here is not a tourist area and many of them do not speak other second languages.

Wonderful ministry opportunities await participants on the sunny island of Singapore: Walk the ground, befriend and express God’s love to least-reached communities from Asia, such as red-light area workers and migrant construction workers who need a listening ear. Pray for the least reached in Singapore, visit a local church and encourage the Christian community, as well as enjoy local hospitality, food and culture.

Team will be daily involved in outreaches to help the poor, leading / organizing children’s programs for local children in the slums and in the inland villages, being involved in Food Relief, doing evangelizing programs with music, songs, drama, sketches and/or mimic.

Learn about Korea from a missionary perspective. And you have an opportunity to share the gospel with foreign exchange students, labors, immigrants, and refugees living in Korea. Train your ministry skills for this job. Also, by participating in TeenStreet Korea for teenagers as a volunteer, you meet the next generation in Korea and challenge them to live as disciples of Jesus.

You will do ministries amongst university students, church planting outreaches, home visits, cottage prayer meetings, Sunday School Service (Preaching, Sunday School for children and youth. Evangelism and Discipleship will be the focused of ministry.

Through our outreach activities, you will learn the importance of teamwork and how can we respect each other in culturally diverse team. You may also discover your potential for longer term missions which God has already planned for you!

TeenStreet Europe

TeenStreet is a youth event where we work on mobilising teenagers into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Teens are encouraged to be part of a Small Group through the rest of the year after the event.

the STEP (Short Term Exposure Programme) is a unique opportunity for young people to serve God on board the ship.

Summit '23 - Hiking the Himalayan trails (5month)

When you join Summit for five or nine months, a significant part of your time is spend out of the city. Treks are varying in length from one to three weeks. You may go to the flat land, but most trips are into middle range mountains of 2500 metre, where most people live. While travelling in pairs through the villages, you will hand out books, share your life journey and sleep at local homes! You can pray for people and encourage and support our local workers. Time spend on trek will help you see, and hear the stories of the people in the villages and feel connected to them in your learning journey.
