Journey Overview

  • We aim to train believers in Spiritual Formation, to grow and continue to grow in their knowledge of, intimacy with and obedience to God.
  • Understanding of God's word, gain deeper understanding of Gods mission for the world and be aware of the needs, challenges, and opportunities in fulfilling this mission, as well as be equipped to respond.
  • Being equipped to serve the least reached, growing in competency of using tools and strategies to reproduce Jesus followers in different cultural context.

REACH in Zambia begins middle February and ends during Love Africa Conference. Price excludes flights, insurance, visa & any possible vaccinations and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

It is highly recommended you attend OM UK's Getting into Gear preparation weekend in Shropshire either in the May or October before your placement. This is an additional £75 and is a weekend of training and preparation.

If you have young children and would like to take part, please enquire for further details for families before applying.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you will require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £20.

Participant Profile

A Participant needs to be a born again Christian, committed to the church, ready to go to the field, concerned for those who do not know Jesus and have passion to share the gospel, committed that the bible is Gods authoritative word for our lives, willing to learn, serve and go wherever the Lord directs you, ready to step out of your comfort zone, prepared to adjust to cross-cultural situation, creative in using and practice learned tools in mission field, a person who understands the great commission (Mathew 28:16-20).

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accomodation provided?

Participants are all expected to stay in the dormitories. Couples will have a room at the dormitories and the children should be below age.

Will there be food provided?

All participants are expected to eat from the OM Zambia main kitchen.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Participants need to arrange their own travel to Zambia.

What should my health condition be like?

We encourage individuals to be under medical cover e.g., insurance of their own like. We encourage individuals to be fully vaccinated before travelling, if you are not, please check the health measures and regulation policy for entering Zambia on the republic of Zambia website.

Do I need a visa?

Participants should check on the republic of Zambia website if they need to apply for the visa from their home country or here in Zambia. Nevertheless participants can also contact the Zambia field personnel officer for more details. After arrival participants will be assisted in the application for a study/resident permit by the field personnel officer.
