Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accomodation provided?

Dormitory style rooms with bunk beds. You will be sharing a room with others of the same sex. Rooms vary between how many beds are in the room and whether they have a bathroom connected or whether you will need to take a short walk to toilets/showers. You can also camp. It is a reduced price of £145 to camp however, we encourage volunteers to pay as they feel to contribute towards the cost. To camp, you will need to provide all your own camping equipment and set up and pack down your own tent.

Will there be food provided?

3 meals per day will be provided. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, dairy-free, food allergies, gluten free, etc.)

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

You need to travel to and from The Polars, Ledbury. The nearest airport is Birmingham International Airport (BHX). We may be able to arrange train station pick-ups from Ledbury Train Station, which is a direct route from Birmingham New Street Station.

What should my health condition be like?

You should be in average good health. You are responsible to obtain appropriate emergency health and medical insurance.

Do I need a visa?

Please check www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa to see if you need a visa.
