Gap Year Challenge into Mission - Winter block

To equip young people to understand how God has uniquely shaped them to share His love with the world.

At OM’s rural base in Shropshire, you’ll spend time living in community with other students. Alongside teaching and discipleship, as social distancing measures allow, there will be team building expeditions in Snowdonia, and evangelistic outreaches in the UK and around the world.

Ministry details

This could be the lockdown year. The year when everything was cancelled. The year when you couldn’t leave home and fully experience university or travels. A lost year. Or it could be a year of unexpected opportunity. A year to be surprised about what God could do in and through you.

  • * Learn about a missional lifestyle, the uniqueness of Jesus, and the need for the gospel amongst the nations.
  • * Engage in online study as well as socially-distanced classrooms, with experienced cross-cultural workers discipling and mentoring you.
  • * Enjoy some practical team work around our campus, perhaps the opportunity to learn a new skill
  • * Experience living together with others and organising a household life!
  • * As restrictions are lifted, engage in UK-based outreach adventures (twice each block, 6 times through the year) and experience overseas missions trips (once each block with 3 in the year)

Approximately 25% training and 75% practical missions.

Each house prepares their own food. When on outreaches food will be provided.
