Journey Overview

Impact Ireland is all about sharing the Gospel with people who do not know Jesus, confident that the Gospel will make an impact in their lives.
We want to:

  • introduce Irish people to Jesus by sharing the Gospel message widely and creatively
  • inspire Irish believers to live for Christ
  • encourage and support Irish churches in evangelism
  • help participants grow in their love for God and their confidence in sharing the Gospel

Note that visa costs, background check, and travel to and from Ireland are not included in the outreach cost. More information about OM Ireland and our programmes can be found at our website: www.ie.om.org. Once participants are accepted, we will send along practical information, including FAQ's and a suggested packing list. Price excludes flights, insurance and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Individuals applying must be 18 or over.

If you live in the UK, and are 18+, you can use this link to apply now https://fs7.formsite.com/OperationMobilisation/STM_APL/form_login.html

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £20.

Participant Profile

We are looking for people who are passionate about Jesus and want to share the Gospel. Team members will need to be flexible and willing to step out of their comfort zone to try new things.

A good level of English is required, as all training and outreach activities will be in English.

We accept married couples and will do our best to accommodate them together, but they may have separate sleeping accommodation.

High level of energy is required as most church programmes will entail long work days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accomodation provided?

For the orientation and training you will be at Lacken House. We provide beds/mattresses during this time, but all participants should bring a sleeping bag and pillow. During the ministry outreach, local churches will arrange accommodation: some in homes and others in church halls, so it is advisable to bring an air mattress. If you have any particular need/requirement for alternative provision, contact your local OM office.

Will there be food provided?

During the orientation all meals will be at Lacken House. While taking part in the ministry outreach week, local churches will organise food. In some cases the churches will provide and prepare food, in other cases they will provide food for you to prepare. If you are a vegetarian, or have any special dietary needs, make sure you inform us before you come.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Please fly into Dublin airport (airport code DUB) in the morning (before 12pm) of Wednesday 12 July.
Please book your departure flight for the late morning (12pm) or later of Tuesday 25 July.
We may be able to collect you from the airport and if not we will send details of the bus you need to take.

What should my health condition be like?

Please contact your local office if you have any health concerns.

Do I need a visa?

EEA and Swiss nationals do not need a visa to enter Ireland for any reason. If you are not an EEA/Swiss national, you can visit Ireland for a period of three months without having to register with the immigration authorities. However, some nationalities will require a visa before they leave their country of residence. Please check if you require a visa to enter as a visitor and we will provide a letter of invitation.
