In celebration of International Women's Day, we recognise and celebrate the women around the world who selflessly serve God's kingdom impacting their communities through OM's ministries. Through the hundreds of ministries that OM has in different countries and cultural contexts, women serve in a variety of ways, often taking up a combination of roles building up the Body of Christ.
Mentoring and Discipleship
Two years after the invasion of Ukraine, the OM team in Poland remains committed to supporting the ongoing needs of Ukrainians crossing the border.
A group of young leaders in South Asia have recognised something special happening in their country: God is on the move.
For the last six years, OM has partnered with members of the Vineyard Church in Denmark to reach out to the growing Muslim population, as well as secular Danes, through different avenues. In Odense, Sebastian is building relationships in a Muslim neighbourhood, and training Christians to disciple others. Helle Samuelsen, the Field Leader of OM in Denmark, and her team work among secular Danes on Bornholm, a small island off the coast of Denmark.
Raised as a Hindu, Karun experienced freedom in Christ and today shares the good news with Muslims, who are also bound by their religious identity.
Heart believes that a large part of living a life centred on the gospel is the willingness to lay down her own desires as a sacrifice before God.
“We are all about coming alongside local churches,” Keitra says. “That is our key way of mobilising for missions. We are encouraging them, and especially encouraging them in the mission of God.”
With a heart for discipleship, OM in Thailand works alongside local churches to equip and empower believers to “share Jesus with others and serve others like Jesus.”
Sekelemane and Maselimo are sowing seeds of truth and faithfully discipling those in their circles of influence in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey shifted Jabari's ministry to Syrian refugees from primarily on social media to in person. He and his wife now see an openness in many to hear the good news.
