Journey Overview

Cycling through the eastern part of Zambia, to raise funds for a skill centre in Chipata. On the way we will visit local churches, ministries and have time to speak and pray for people we meet. We will cycle through a more rural part of Zambia, and you will see and experience how the people live there.

On top of participation fee, participants are expected to raise at least $300 dollars for the skill centre. Fundraising for Skills Centre in Chipata, the Eastern Province of Zambia. We will be doing different types of skills including sewing, food production, carpentry, agriculture, computer and so forth.

Great missions exposure, cultural awareness, team work, endurance and wildlife. Applicants must be 18 or over and be fit enough to cycle the distances above.

Price excludes flights, insurance & any possible vaccinations and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £15.

What To Expect

Chipata is the gateway for Muslims in Zambia. People get free things from the Muslim community; this is why they don’t always work. With this skill centre we want to train people different skills so that they can generate an income and don’t depend on the gifts from the Muslims.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 18-80

Need to be fit and able to cycle +/- 80 km a day.
Cycling, while we pray and minister to people

Language will be English, there will be translators into the local language.

If you are not able to cycle, you can join the ride as a support person.

Food and drinks are included in the fee. Extra food and drinks if desired need to be bought by the participants

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

You will be picked up from Lusaka international airport and brought to Chipata town. From there you cycle from one place to the other. Your luggage will be brought by car.
People need to bring their own bicycle

What should my health condition be like?

Need to be fit and able to cycle +/-80 km a day. There will be support cars driving with us. When you do not manage to cycle any more you can put your bike in the car.
if you have personal medication you need to bring it.
