Ewout is married to Ali, and they have three boys, Jonathan, Toby and Charlie. After studying social geography, Ewout worked as a high school geography teacher for 10 years. As a youth leader in church, Ewout went to the TeenStreet Germany event in 2000 with his teens and got into OM through that in 2007. He worked with OM in the Netherlands as a youth worker and as a programme director for the TeenStreet Germany event and also preached in churches around the Netherlands. Ewout joined the Global Planning Team, after which he became director of TeenStreet International in 2018. Ewout and his family currently live in the U.S.
