##FULL## Transform 2017 Turkey: English Club for Refugee children

Transform2017 (www.transform.om.org) is a unified effort around the Mediterranean to create momentum for the gospel by mobilising people and training them in telling their personal God story.
Reaching children in Turkey with the Good News, by inviting them to join an English club arranged by the local church. Come and encourage a fledgling Turkish church. Support them in their task to reach the children in the town with the gospel. Be used by God to raise the profile of the church, share Gospel truths and bring glory to Jesus.

There is a local church which is able to do an amazing ministry among children. In Turkey it is not legal to share about Jesus to children under 18 except with the parent’s agreement. Through a long process of building relationships and arranging programs for children, the church has today a vital ministry among children. This summer they are arranging for the second time an English club, where English will be taught through the use of Bible stories. The children who participate are from different ethnical backgrounds, whereas 50% of the children invited to the English Club will be Syrian refugees with limited or no other options for schooling.
The church is close to important Christian Touristic sites, and the participants will also be offered guided tours, experimenting the local culture, and a visit to a national park with beautiful beaches.

Applicants must be 18 or over.

Price excludes flights & insurance, and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

Unless you’ve recently been with us you will also need to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) as part of our safeguarding policy which costs an additional £15.

Participant profile

We are happy to welcome you if you are flexible, can adjust easily to new situations and if you are open to be lead by the Holy Spirit, willing to minister to children and share God's love with them.

At Transform conference: Participants will stay at our main conference site and for numbers over 450 there may be other accomodation nearby.
During outreach: In the local church. Bedding and linens are provided. Please bring a towel. Wifi is available.
The temperature is hot in July. Please bring light, but culturally appropriate clothes (meaning not tight and too short shorts, too open t-shirts).

All meals are included, and Turkish food is famous! If you have any specific dietary needs, please let us know in advance.

For Transform conference: You need to book and pay for your own travel to Cambrils on the 10th July, Barcelona to Istanbul on 15th July (plan to arrive on a flight that gets into Istanbul no later than 3 pm) and Istanbul back home on the 30th July (after 10 am).
The conference will take place in the area of Cambrils, Spain. Detailed information about travel to the conference site will be given to you by your local OM office.
In Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen airport is more convenient than Atatürk airport.

Participants should be in good health, ready for an intense, but fun time together with the children. Any special needs (allergies, medical conditions...) must be communicated as early as possible so that organizers can prepare well! Each participant should arrange personal medical insurance to cover the period of the outreach.

For the Transform conference please check Spanish Embassy/Consulate or through the internet
For the outreach, please get an e-visa at https://www.evisa.gov.tr
