Penang, Malaysia :: Doulos Hope's bookfair is set-up.
Reaching another major milestone in the ‘move-in and set up’ phase, Doulos Hope’s bookfair was brought to life last week as the first books were placed on her bookfair shelves!
The vessel will follow in the footsteps of her sister ships Logos, Doulos, Logos II and Logos Hope, as host to one of the famous floating bookfairs so fondly known across the globe. Doulos Hope is set to carry around 2,000 titles on board, with literature suitable for the whole family, covering topics related to science, medicine, language, sports, faith, cookery, arts, hobbies and more.
Her opening weekend is due to take place in early May as the ship opens to the public in Singapore. The vessel is currently located in Malaysia, as final preparations for launch are completed before she begins her voyage to Singapore on 28 April.
With more crew still needed in all ship departments, including the bookfair, we invite you to pray with us for more volunteers to join, especially for a longer period of 1-2 years.
