With 5 decks and around 140 crew, the vessel is smaller than her sister ship, but there will still be many opportunities to serve using your profession on board. Whether you’re skilled in I.T, engineering, or communications, or would like to work in the galley (ship’s kitchen), or bookfair, to name but a few needs, there is sure to be a position for you.     Milestone Moment for Doulos Hope

    In a historic milestone, marking the end of the construction stage, Doulos Hope left Loyang Berth, Singapore on 31st January, destined for Penang, Malaysia. Here, her set-up phase will begin and the handover process continue.

    Minor works are still to be finished in Penang, but we thank God for His strength and enabling. Project work was completed on schedule, despite various delays, as well as on budget. Praise God!

    Just last week, the bookshelves also arrived for the bookfair. Setting up is now well underway!

    With a planned launch due for spring, we continue to search for alumni volunteers willing to join for at least four weeks or longer to help with set-up between now and September. There’s a place for everyone who wants to use how God has wired them to make His love known. You included!

    Since 1970, we have operated five different ships...

    • Doulos Hope

      Doulos Hope was purchased in May of 2022.

    • Logos Hope

      Logos Hope was officially launched in February 2009.

    • Doulos

      Doulos was purchased in 1977 and sailed for OM Ships until early 2010.

    • Logos II

      Logos II was purchased in 1988 and completed her service in July 2008.

    • The first Logos

      OM's pioneering first ship, Logos, was purchased in 1970 and sailed for 17 years.
