God's story never ends

“Every movie, book or song tells a story. They all have a beginning and an end. When a song ends, the story seems over. When the killer is found at the end of that thriller, the movie ends. When the couple is finally together and they kiss on the last page of that romance novel, the book ends,” says OMer Anja. “But in life, the end of a story is never the end of it. It always goes on. When that book or movie is over, time seems to freeze and life as we know it seems to stay exactly the same.”

Flooding in Laos

"We were all out working the rice fields. My wife and three-year-old daughter were busy pulling weeds while I worked a few rows over, my 10 month old daughter sleeping soundly in one arm. We heard a sound, like a train, coming from upriver and turned just in time to see the wall of water come tearing around the corner. I watched my wife and daughter disappear, then the wall hit me," a man staying in a temporary shelter near Attapue, Laos reported. "I was closer to our house and the water pushed me right up to the roof. As I clung to the roof, I looked down. My daughter was gone. One second sleeping in my arms, the next gone. My house collapsed under me and I just floated. I ended up in a tree with a few other neighbours. I learned that there are things worse than dying. The dead ones are the lucky ones. It’s all gone, my life is gone…”

What Does OM Do?

Our worldwide ministries in over 100 countries and onboard our ship Logos Hope are involved in:

  • EVANGELISM

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

  • CHURCH PLANTING

The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labour.  1 Corinthians 3:8

  • RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT

...faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:17

  • JUSTICE

He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners... Isaiah 61:1b

  • MENTORING & DISCIPLESHIP

He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. Colossians 1:28

Why OM?

At its heart, OM is a movement of God, made up of people who are completely sold out to Jesus Christ and His commands. Moved by the Holy Spirit, we cross boundaries, we push limits. We want OM to remain a movement of God, utterly dependent upon Him. We show our dependence through our commitment to His Word and by waiting upon Him in prayer.

“Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” PSALM 96:3
