Belgium

Share God’s love with the reserved and art-loving people of Belgium: a country famous for fries, chocolate, waffles, and beer, but also comic books. A kingdom that is home to several languages and a host for many ethnicities. Its capital, Brussels, is also the capital of the European Union.

There are many ways in which you can enrich people here in Europe’s political heart towards an eternal future.

“What I love most about the music ministry here”, says Jack, a music producer who volunteers with the team, “is our focus on creating songs and videos that introduce people to the great questions answered by the Gospel. The workshops we conduct are my greatest joy, as we help groups of songwriters produce new works, which we record and distribute here in Belgium and across the world.”

Belgium has a population of over eleven and a half million people, represented by different linguistic and ethnic groups.* Dutch, French, and German are its three official languages. Many Arabic and Turkish speakers, mostly Muslim background immigrants, have also formed communities here.

Jesus followers in Belgium

Belgium is a historically Catholic country, but nowadays, far from putting their trust in a God who saves. Instead, atheism is widespread as well as occultism and New Age philosophical lifestyles. Although over half of the population identify as Christians, only two thirds of them claim to believe in God.**

As a Jesus follower, you can share love through relationships and in your personal testimonies, in how God has changed you, and how He works in your life. We love to see people join us with a heart for Jesus and willingness to get involved with Belgium: its people, languages, and both national and immigrant cultures.

Whether you come for a long or short time, or whether you pray, or invest in lives through financial support, join us in bringing good news of new life in one of the world's most atheistic nations. There are many ways for you to share God's love with the people of Belgium.
