Mosbach, Germany: Purchaser & Logistics Manager

Handle needed supplies and manage the timely shipment of all on shore purchases in order to help ensure continued operations of the ship.

In your role you will support the technical- and project managers and marine operations team on shore in order to help ensure a balanced workload. You will purchase and manage the ordering process of technical spare parts, consumables and equipment for deck and engine till delivery at HQ in order to ensure these can be shipped on time. You will manage the logistic process in order to ensure all freights and shipments will arrive at the destination on time. You will ensure proper and relevant documentation and filing in order to allow for smooth shipments and VAT reclaims. You will manage the store room in order to have a safe working place and accurate and timely shipment of purchases. You will ensure the Amos data management system is kept up to date with necessary information for accurate history and data management in order to efficiently support the purchasing and maintenance process.


Your profile

You are a European and preferably have previous ship experience, ideally in the marine operation team. You have a technical background and experience in purchasing and logistics.  You have the ability to write and speak in English and German. You have knowledge about legal and tax requirements regarding Import/export. You are competent in computer literate, especially in MS office and desirably in Amos. You take initiative and responsibility. You build effective relationships and you motivate people.

You will be based in Mosbach, Germany.  It is a full time role. You will be part of an international team who are passionate about serving in the ships ministry.  Coaching and training will be arranged to grow into this role, when needed.
