Philippian Project: Church Planting (Evangelist)

Arguably one of the greatest needs in Ireland is more Bible-believing churches. Through our network of churches and church planting organisations, we have identified a number of opportunities to support church planters in this exciting work. Opportunities in this area are best suited for individuals with gifting and calling as an evangelist. There are opportunities in new and existing church plants.

Philippians, perhaps like no other book of the Bible, reflects the heart of OM Ireland to partner with the local church, to see leaders and laypersons alike trained, equipped, and resourced to carry out the task of reaching their local communities and making disciples of all nations.

Over the years, we have sought to accomplish our three-fold purpose of Reaching, Equipping and Mobilising, through the placement of short-term mission teams and yearlong interns in churches throughout Ireland, as well as providing relevant training and resources to these fellowships.

Through our Philippian Project, we are seeking to deepen our partnerships with local churches by mobilising long term workers across the Republic of Ireland in a variety of ministry roles.

In addition to all general acceptance requirements for joining OM, Philippian Project candidates will:

  • Be 25 years of age or older
  • Demonstrate a clear calling in the area of ministry for which they apply.
  • Have a minimum two years cross-cultural ministry experience, or have graduated from a relevant Bible college or seminary programme.
  • Agree to a minimum two year commitment, preferably three to five years.
  • Be assessed and found personally, theologically, and ministry philosophically in agreement with specific church partner.
