Cards for refugees

To support relief efforts, OM has produced a small card to share the Gospel among refugees.

As thousands of refugees make their way through Eastern Europe and the Balkans, OM teams are responding quickly to meet their needs. One OM team gives out food, water and clothing at a border crossing. Around five thousand refugees arrive there each day: tired, cold and afraid but clinging to the hope of a better future.

To support relief efforts, OM has produced a small card to help share the Gospel among refugees.

Written in six languages, the card asks, “Are you looking for hope?”

In answer, it provides links to websites that offer Christian resources in the Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Kurdi, Pashto and Urdu languages. Since most refugees own smart phones, once they know where to look, they can easily access online Christian literature, talks and videos, including the Jesus film.

Most refugees come from countries with little freedom or opportunity to hear the Gospel.

“What an opportunity the Church in Europe has to share their faith with those who have not yet heard of Jesus!” said one OM worker. “May these cards help bridge language barriers and equip believers throughout Europe to bring a message of eternal, certain hope in Jesus Christ.”

An initial 20,000 cards have been printed for OM teams to distribute.

Please pray for openness as individuals accept the cards. Please pray for wisdom, strength and stamina for OM workers responding to physical and spiritual needs in Central and Eastern Europe.

If you or your church would like copies of the cards, available to order with a small donation, or if you would like to receive the print PDF, please contact: info.media@om.org
