Join us for a unique mission adventure that you will never forget! In the Kindle the Torch - Traveling team
throughout south-eastern part of Bulgaria you will bring the Gospel from village to village. Together with local believers, you will travel to the remotest and most beautiful unreached areas of the country. You will visit villages with a small or no church and reach out to children and youth through evangelistic programs. Reaching children and youth with the Gospel, encouraging the local small churches, and worship God in very culturally divers environment. Through this cross-cultural experience, you will have the amazing opportunity to grow in your faith and relationship with God.

Families means minors are accompanied by a responsible adult.

What To Expect

You will arrive in Bulgaria and start traveling by Van from village to village, engaging with the culture as you stay in and partner with local churches to share the Gospel. You will have the opportunity to organize kid's programs, youth outreaches, visiting families, and possibilities for helping practically where needed in every village visited.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 18-70

If you are adventurous, flexible, and willing to be stretched physically and spiritually, if you want to be challenged in your faith and experience God in a new way through cross-cultural ministry, you have a passion to reach the lost by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then this outreach is for you. Basic Language skills in English, Romanian or Bulgarian.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

During outreach you will sleep in church facilities, sharing rooms with bunkbeds. Please note that it may not be possible for large groups, families, or married couples to remain together within the different room or accommodation.

Will there be food provided?

Sometimes you as a team you will need to prepare your own meals. Please come ready to serve together alongside the team and advise us if you have dietary restrictions.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Participants must arrange their own travel to and from Bucharest or Sofia. Participants will be picked up by a OM team members at the airport, bus- or train station.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants must be in good health and physically able to carry a backpack, stand, bend, lift, walk, sit in a car for a few hours on bumpy roads, and do other physical activities as needed. Everything you take for this outreach must be carried on your back.

Do I need a visa?

You can only enter Bulgaria and Romania with a Passport (or ID card if you are part of EU). Citizens from the EU, USA, Canada, Switzerland do not need a Visa. All others will need a Visa. If a Visa is needed and costs are involved, this is the participant's responsibility to pay the fees. Please work things out with your sending field.
