Journey Overview

Do you have a long-term goal of serving God and making disciples? Learn, practice, be mentored by and serve alongside those already doing it. Learn how to start a vibrant community of Jesus followers and help them reach out to those who need Him.

Please note: Cost indicated is for conference and outreach only. Unless otherwise indicated, it includes accommodation, meals, local travel. However, visa costs and travel to and from the event are extra. A €30 non-refundable application fee is included. Cost will be finalised upon application due to fluctuations in currency exchange.

What To Expect

Each month consists of one week of classroom teaching followed by 3 weeks of being engaged in practical ways to make disciples among the nations.

The teaching elements will include:

  • Discovery Bible Study models
  • Evangelism
  • World views
  • Theology of the Gospel
  • Understanding cultures
  • Reading communities
  • N.T. Biblical Theology
  • Biblical Leadership
  • Practicalities of Teaching Discipleship
  • Challenges of Multicultural groups
  • How to share the gospel with other religions and cultures
  • The necessity of reaching cities

The practical elements will be with practitioners from OM and other agencies who serve in front-line ministries.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 25-99

You are passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and church planting and

  • Have a personal faith in Jesus Christ
  • Agree with the tenets of the Christian faith
  • Are able to communicate verbally in English with confidence
  • Have experience in sharing the gospel
  • Want to develop your evangelism and discipleship skills
  • Demonstrate a desire for cross-cultural mission
  • Have a working knowledge of Scripture
  • Have already completed a six-month training course in discipleship, or other similar experience

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

During the training weeks you'll sleep in dormitories or small rooms. During placements you'll be housed in either ministry centres or people's homes.

Will there be food provided?

Sometimes it will be catered, sometimes you'll cook for yourself or your team. Most allergies and intolerances can be catered for.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Please arrive in Little Cornbow on the afternoon of Sunday 15th September.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants should be able to walk a reasonable distance without difficulty.

Do I need a visa?

A tourist visa can be obtained on arrival. You will be doing missional activities, NOT working, studying or volunteering.
