Journey Overview

You will be working with local churches, organizing a day camp for children, visiting elderly people in their homes, and possibly helping practically where needed. The purpose of this outreach is to help the local churches in their ministries by reaching out to children, youth, and elderly in villages. Through this cross-cultural experience, you will have the amazing opportunity to grow in your faith and relationship with God.

What To Expect

During the children’s day camp, you will be organizing games, doing crafts, sharing a bible story, puppets, drama, singing songs, and more. You will also visit and encourage families and elderly in their homes by listening to their stories, sharing testimonies, distributing food parcels and Bibles, and possibly helping with practical work. Most likely you will work in two different churches and villages.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

OM center on arrival & before departure, and during outreach with local families or in church buildings in the villages.

Will there be food provided?

Good Moldovan food is provided. Sometimes you as a team will have to prepare your own meal. Please advise us if you have dietary restrictions

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Participants must arrange their own travel to and from Chisinau, Moldova. The Airport Code for Chisinau is: RMO. Participants will be picked up by OM team members at the airport, train- or bus station.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants must be in good health and physically able to stand, bend, lift, walk and do other physical activities as needed.

Do I need a visa?

You can only enter Moldova with a Passport, not an ID card. Citizens from the EU, USA, Canada, Switzerland and a CIS countries do not need a Visa. All others will need a Visa. If a Visa is needed and costs are involved, this is the participant's responsibility to pay the fees.

We are NOT able to provide a Letter of Invitation for a Visa, in all cases. Please check if you need a Letter of Invitation at http://www.mfa.gov.md/entry-visas-moldova/
