Journey Overview

OM will partner with Ladyfield Evangelical Church in Chippenham. Chippenham is a vibrant market town. There is a wealth of historic buildings, beautiful parks, and modern shopping centres. The River Avon and Wilts & Berks canal form a peaceful backdrop to walking and cycling routes. There will be ample of opportunities to engage with people. To join the church in Chippenham and help them to reach out to their community.

We want to see Jesus followers working together, have passion to share the gospel and talk to people about Jesus. We also want to see all the participants being inspired and experiencing the presence of God.

Arrival needs to be by 6pm on the 8th June. Departure is on the 16th June in the afternoon.

Married couples are welcome but may needed to sleep separately. Individuals applying must be 18 or over.

What To Expect

You will be equipped in sharing your faith in Jesus with others. We will also be joining the church and doing door to door visits, a book table and street interviews. We hope to run a Bible Club which will include crafts, board games, quizzes, food and a short Bible Message for older people.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 18-99

People who love Jesus and know His gospel. People who feel confident in holding a conversation with people and praying for others in English. No previous mission experience is required, but you need to have a heart to serve, to learn and have the desire to share the gospel with others.

Will there be accommodation provided?

The team will be staying in the church hall or with local families. You may be asked to share a room with people of the same sex. You may also be required to bring you own sleeping bag and towels.

Will there be food provided?

Food will be provided. Breakfast and lunch may be self-service. We need to know in advance of any special dietary requirements (vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, food allergies, etc)

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

You need to arrange your own travel. The nearest train station is Chippenham. You will be picked up from the train station.

What should my health condition be like?

You should be in average good health and able to work outdoors, stand for a reasonable amount of time, and walk between the houses you'll visit.
