Journey Overview

Join us for 1-2 weeks to live among local people in a village (Rosteti-Calarasi) and serve using sport, drama, music, teaching English and after-school help. Together with local believers you may be a witness and preach the Gospel, organizing children, youth and adult evangelistic programmes. Come alongside our team, living in countryside in a remote village in Romania with the goal to reach children, youth with the Gospel. Through this cross-cultural experience, you will have the amazing opportunity to grow in your faith and relationship with God and help the second largest minority people group in Romania.

We can accept families with teenage children who are able to take care their own. Price excludes flights, insurance & any possible vaccinations and is subject to change according to the exchange rate.

As part of our Safeguarding policy, you may require a valid enhanced DBS certificate, which may cost an additional £15.

What To Expect

You will embark to Bucharest (Romania) and travel to Roseti (Calarasi) by car or by train. You will have the opportunity to organize kid's programs, youth outreaches, and you will have possibilities for helping practically where needed. Share your testimony at church, help kids with their home work, build relationships, play football, attend campfires, and may more things.

Participant Profile

Age Range: 18-60

If you are adventurous, flexible, and willing to be stretched physically and spiritually, if you want to be challenged in your faith and experience God in a new way through cross-cultural ministry, you have a passion to reach the lost by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then this outreach is for you. Basic Language skills in English or Romanian.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will there be accommodation provided?

During outreach you will sleep in their houses or church accommodations. Please note that it may not be possible for groups, families or married couples to sleep in the same room.

Will there be food provided?

Sometimes you as a team will need to prepare your own meal. Please come ready to serve together alongside the team and locals and advise us if you have dietary restrictions.

Do I need to make my own travel arrangements?

Participants must arrange their own travel to and from Bucharest. Participants will be picked up by a OM team members at the airport, train- or bus station.

What should my health condition be like?

Participants must be in good health and physically able to carry a backpack, stand, bend, lift, walk and do other physical activities as needed. Everything you take for this outreach must be carried on your back.

Do I need a visa?

You can only enter Romania with a Passport (or ID card if you are part of EU). Citizens from the EU, USA, Canada, Switzerland do not need a Visa. All others will need a Visa. If a Visa is needed and costs are involved, this is the participant's responsibility to pay the fees. Please work things out with your sending field.
