Engagement

In one of the lesser reached countries in the world, and one that’s open about their need of purpose and company, Engagement prioritizes sharing about Jesus through relationships. Therefore, it’s important for us to be involved in spaces and areas of interest that allow encounters, conversations, and ultimately, relationships, to start and grow.

Some of the areas of interest we focus on are:

· Street evangelism: we don’t often coincide with the same people on the street, but God can even use those random encounters! Be it in our personal commutes or in an organized event, we seek to share our hope with anyone who’d be willing to hear it.

· Music ministry: music is art, and it can touch parts of our hearts that simple words sometimes can’t. It’s also a creative space that is enjoyed all around – whether you’re the one making it or as a spectator. We tap into what we really feel, be it praise, confession, or reflection, and we seek to use it for God.

· Virtual evangelism: the digital world is part of our daily lives. Our relationships, our errands, our answers even, are often there. We are constantly exposing ourselves to infinite kinds of information. So, Engagement makes sure to contribute sound Christian answers, input, and information into that data base.

· Art ministry: as with music, whether it’s by creating art or admiring it, we use this gift of God to communicate what is hard to say through words. We use it to tell and/or understand stories, to expose different realities of broken humans who have a Saviour and a hope for eternity.

· Sport ministry: few things bring people together like sports do. Sometimes idolized, sometimes an escape, sometimes a lifestyle, it’s a space that allows friendships to grow. It’s a constant practice that creates a space to share life with others, and with it, our hope in Christ.

Jesus said: “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few.” (Luke 10:2) This Bible verse from almost 2,000 years ago is true for Belgium today. If you’re considering serving in the Kingdom of God in Belgium, feel free to contact us!
