When disasters occur, whether they are man-made or natural, it is a crucial time for the global Church to respond to the needs of people. OM teams, serving in around 147 countries, often extend a helping hand and God's love to those experiencing war, conflict, earthquakes, flooding and more.
Caring for people
For the last six years, OM has partnered with members of the Vineyard Church in Denmark to reach out to the growing Muslim population, as well as secular Danes, through different avenues. In Odense, Sebastian is building relationships in a Muslim neighbourhood, and training Christians to disciple others. Helle Samuelsen, the Field Leader of OM in Denmark, and her team work among secular Danes on Bornholm, a small island off the coast of Denmark.
God prepared Stephanie to train teachers in Zambia through her family legacy and the skills her parents taught her.
“Missions is one way we serve Him,” Tewana said. “We can serve Him wherever He would choose to send us, to children, at home with your family…I would say seek His face so that you will know that you are doing what He wants."

Jeevanam is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘giving life.’ In a rural town in India, just outside the city of Hydraband, it is also the name of a ministry that brings hope to people living with HIV and AIDS.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey shifted Jabari's ministry to Syrian refugees from primarily on social media to in person. He and his wife now see an openness in many to hear the good news.
“When we share how to make a kitchen garden, we tell the story of Creation, how God created the heavens and the Earth,” explained Salman from South Asia. “Then we say, ‘Okay, now you go to the next house and help make a garden and have your family tell the story to them…so through that, the people learn the stories and share them in other villages as well.”
